Module 0 · Introduction¶
This short Module sets you up for everything that follows. It explains how the course works, introduces the organisation you will work with throughout (Scaldimet Industrial Group) and makes the case for why Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) exists at all.
What you will be able to do¶
By the end of this Module you will be able to:
- Describe how the course is structured and how to move through it.
- Describe Scaldimet, its two sites, and the central tension you have inherited as its first CISO.
- Explain, in plain terms, what GRC is and why an organisation invests in it.
- Identify the commercial and regulatory pressures that make GRC urgent for Scaldimet right now.
