Chapter 3.4 · NIS2 in depth and across borders

Two Lessons. The first goes through what NIS2 actually requires: the risk-management measures, the incident-reporting timeline, and the duties it places on the board. The second confronts Scaldimet's particular complication: a single company answering to two national authorities, Belgium's CCB and France's ANSSI.

Objectives

  • Relate the NIS2 Article 21 measures to the risks they address, and describe the Article 23 reporting timeline and Article 20 board duties.
  • Explain how a cross-border incident is reported to two authorities under two national transpositions of one directive.
