Chapter 4.5 · Evaluating risk¶
Two Lessons. The first builds a risk matrix from scratch, defining the scales rather than borrowing a colourful grid, and selecting one fit for Scaldimet. The second uses it to evaluate the scenarios into risk levels, and then confronts directly what qualitative scoring can and cannot tell you.
Objectives¶
- Build a risk matrix by defining its scales, and select one appropriate to Scaldimet.
- Evaluate scenarios into risk levels by combining severity and likelihood.
- Explain the limits of qualitative scoring and why they motivate quantification.
Lessons¶
| Lesson | Title | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 4.5.A | Building and selecting a risk matrix | ~50 min |
| 4.5.B | Evaluating risk and the limits of qualitative scoring | ~45 min |
The Chapter quiz is at the end of Lesson 4.5.B.
